Thomas Noonan Appointed CFO of Midland Manufacturing

Skokie, ILMidland Manufacturing, the global leader in railroad tank car safety valves and equipment and a division of OPW Fluid Transfer Group, announces the appointment of Thomas Noonan to the position of Chief Financial Officer. In addition to his responsibilities as CFO, Noonan will also function as Midland’s export compliance officer.

Noonan comes to Midland after spending the past 15 years with Alcoa Inc.’s Alcoa Flexible Packaging / IVEX Packaging Corporation division. For the past eight years, he has been Controller of the Technical Packaging Division with responsibility for the integrity of all financial reporting, operational reporting and metrics, pricing administration, accounting systems and controls for the multi-national division that produces $70 million in annual revenues. Prior to that, he was Controller for the Food Packaging Group where he developed and implemented financial goals and policies for the newly created division. From 1979-1991, Noonan held a variety of positions in the Finance Department at Beatrice Company / Swift-Eckrich, Inc., which was acquired by ConAgra, Inc. in 1990.

Noonan holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Notre Dame, and an MBA in Finance from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.
